Sunday Match Report

The final day of tournament play brought another spirited display from our College football teams, who faced strong opposition and rose to the challenge with determination.
At the St David’s Tournament, the First Team recorded a well-earned 2–1 victory over Norkem Park before narrowly losing 2–1 to St Alban’s in a closely contested match. The Under 15 team showed great perseverance in a 0–2 loss to Michaelhouse and fought hard in a 1–2 defeat to Springs, demonstrating commendable teamwork.
At the St Stithians Tournament, the Under 14 team celebrated a 2–1 triumph over Grey College and, despite a tough 0–4 result against St Alban’s, gained valuable experience. The Under 16 side reached the semi-finals, a fine achievement in itself. They were edged out 1–3 by St Alban’s in the semi-final and concluded their campaign with a 2–5 loss to St Benedict’s, securing fourth place overall.

Saturday Match Report

It was another competitive day for our football teams in Johannesburg.
At the St David’s Tournament, the First Team went down 4–1 to KES, finishing third in their group with four points, and played to a 0–0 draw with Grey College.
The Under 15 side lost 4–1 to St David’s and recorded a 3–2 victory over St Benedict’s.
At the St Stithians Tournament, the Under 16 team defeated Woodlands 4–3 and drew 0–0 with Grey College, winning 4–3 on penalties. They have progressed to the semi-finals.
The Under 14s were defeated 6–2 by Michaelhouse and drew 2–2 with St David’s.
The teams continue to display resilience and commitment, with the Under 16s looking ahead to their semi-final clash.

Friday Match Report:

It was a busy Friday of football for our College teams as they competed in tournaments in Johannesburg.
At the St David’s Tournament, the First Team drew 1–1 with St John’s and secured a 1–0 victory over Michaelhouse. The Under 15 team were defeated 2–0 by Beaulieu College and lost 3–1 to Grey College.
At the St Stithians Tournament, the Under 16 side went down 3–0 to Michaelhouse, lost 2–1 to St Stithians, and were defeated 3–0 by St David’s Inanda. The Under 14 team lost 3–1 to St Stithians, drew 2–2 with St Peter’s, and went down 5–1 to St David’s Marist.
