FAIRTREE U14 Cricket Rankings: 11/02/2026

The Fairtree SA School Sports U14 Cricket Rankings are designed as a performance index, not a log table, and aim to measure the relative strength of U14 First Teams based on what has taken place on the field.

The rankings consider more than just wins and losses. They factor in strength of opposition, how competitive matches are, and consistency across fixtures, ensuring that performances against stronger teams are weighted appropriately. A narrow loss to a strong opponent can therefore be more valuable than a comfortable win against weaker opposition — a principle that applies across all SA School Sports rankings.

At U14 level, it is important to note that many schools have played fewer fixtures than their senior counterparts, and fixture lists vary widely at this stage of the season. As a result, only schools that have completed a minimum of three U14 fixtures are currently included. Additional teams will be added as soon as sufficient results are submitted.

As more matches are played and shared opposition begins to link teams together, the rankings will naturally become more stable and increasingly reflective of true comparative strength as the season progresses.
