Boy’s Water Polo Rankings: 6/03/2018

The long awaited KES Water Polo Tournament was the main event last week which saw several of the country’s top polo teams in action.

As normal the water polo that was on display was of the highest level with all the usual suspects, Clifton, Rondebosch, St Stithians and St John’s College, fighting it out to see who would take home one of school water polo’s most coveted titles. At the end it was Clifton College who had gone unbeaten through the pool stages that met the other unbeaten side, Rondebosch, in the final match.

Unfortunately the final match never got underway do to lightning and in so doing they shared the Old Edwardian Cup and fittingly end up as the two leading teams on this week’s SA School Sports Rankings.

Bishops who also enjoyed a good tournament are nudged into the top five zone and will no doubt be rueing their missed opportunities when they narrowly went down 12-11 to St.Stithians last week.
