A crushing win by Maritzburg College over Affies helped to close the gap on the leading team in the country, Rondebosch, but it could well be a case of too little too late for the Pietermaritzburg team who might have to make peace with the No.2 spot this season.
However Pretoria Boys High also put together a polished performance against KES to creep ever closer to a top three finish in what has been a great season for PBHS this year.
A good run of form by Paul Roos Gym also sees them enter the top five zone where they should be able to finish by the time the season is complete.
