Reddam House Umhlanga Shine at Reddam’s Inter School Football Tournament.

Top scorers and silverware for Reddam House Umhlanga at national football showcase

Reddam House Umhlanga returned from the 2025 Inter-Reddam Football Tournament with an impressive double silver — finishing second in both the U19 Boys’ and U19 Girls’ divisions — and two of the tournament’s most coveted individual awards.

Hosted at Reddam House Ballito, the tournament featured teams from across the Inspired Education Group’s South African schools, including Reddam House Umhlanga, Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard, Reddam House Ballito, Reddam House Bedfordview, Reddam House Helderfontein and Reddam House Waterfall. Against such high-level competition, Umhlanga’s athletes demonstrated exceptional teamwork and commitment.

The Girls’ team fell just short of gold, finishing behind Atlantic Seaboard, while the Boys’ side lost out in a dramatic final also decided by Atlantic Seaboard’s last-minute equaliser and penalty shootout.

Despite the narrow defeats, individual brilliance stood out. Valentina Jooste claimed the Girls’ Golden Boot, and Lwandle Ndlovu took home the Boys’ Golden Boot, each recognised as the top scorers in their respective divisions.

“These results speak volumes about the talent and determination of our students,” said Chad Moses, Executive Head of Reddam House Umhlanga. “To finish second in both categories and win two major awards is a fantastic achievement — and we’re incredibly proud of every player.”

The weekend was not only a showcase of sporting excellence but also a celebration of school unity, respect and friendship. For Reddam House Umhlanga, it marked another step forward in building a legacy of competitive and values-driven sport.
