Girls First Team Hockey Rankings: Titans Rise as the Battle for Super 12 and Challengers Cup Qualification Ends
It’s been a season of high-intensity matchups, incredible goals, and strategic masterstrokes — all building up to this moment. South Africa’s top girls’ first team hockey sides have been locked in a fierce contest to qualify for the two most prestigious tournaments on the calendar: the Fairtree Super 12, hosted by Oranje Meisies, and the La Rochelle Rising Challengers Cup.
With the 12 June 2025 cut-off now behind us, the rankings reveal which teams will move on to these elite events. Only schools that submitted a minimum of 12 match results were eligible, in what has been a titanic battle at the top of the table.
The Top 12 teams have earned the golden ticket to the Fairtree Super 12, where South Africa’s finest schoolgirl hockey outfits will go head-to-head in a festival of top-tier talent. Teams placed 13 to 24 will join the fast-rising La Rochelle Challengers Cup, an arena where hungry, emerging sides will battle for recognition and future glory.
From powerful performances to dramatic finishes, this season has truly showcased the depth and excellence of girls’ hockey in South Africa.
