In the world of school cricket, the excitement is palpable as we dive into another action-packed week of fierce competition. As the cricket season kicks into high gear, our young talents are showcasing their prowess on the pitch, and the latest School Cricket First XI Rankings reflect the unfolding drama.
With numerous leading teams taking to the field, anticipation is building for the upcoming clashes, promising thrilling encounters in the weeks ahead. One such event is the highly anticipated Michaelmas Festival hosted by Maritzburg College, drawing some of the most formidable teams in the circuit.
Notable victories have already set the tone for an electrifying season. Paul Roos Gym emerged triumphant in two impressive encounters against Affies and Pretoria Boys High. A standout performance came from Josh Jordaan, who decimated the PBHS attack, notching an unbeaten 105 runs in a display of remarkable skill.
Bryn Brokensha also caused havoc as he helped set up Maritzburg College’s victory over Northwood with a stylish 104 runs which is his second century in the season.
