Kearsney's Chad Croshaw in the game against Michaelhouse.

Kearsney 1st team beat Michaelhouse 1st team 2-0

The Soccer game started at a frantic pace, with Kearsney hitting the cross bar and just missing a goal in the first minute.  The hosts managed to dominate for the initial 10 minutes, before Michaelhouse took their chances and got into the game.

Kearsney’s goalkeeper Siyen Gounden made some good saves, ensuring that the scoreline remained 0-0 until half-time.

After the break, Kearsney came out firing. Lethokuhle Ngidi dribbled through a number of the visitors’ players, cutting inside and bending the ball into the top right-hand corner, for a 1-0 lead.

The game had been evenly matched until then. Michaelhouse countered on a number of occasions, but Kearsney’s defense was solid, managing to keep their opponents at bay.

In the last few minutes, Michaelhouse went on the attack, but a breakaway from Kearsney saw Chad Croshaw send a thunderous shot into the goals, sealing a 2-0 win for Kearsney.
