Nobody will be surprised to hear that Grey College have ended the 2019 season as the No.1 ranked team on the SA School Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings.
Year in and year out, Grey continue to blend together brilliant first teams and this season was no different. With a fixture list that included all the leading teams in the country, Grey ticked off victory after victory and after a season where they never tasted defeat can be truly proud of their performances.
Selborne College got the closest of any team in causing an upset and beating Grey College with a 17-8 score line but scoring over 50 points in 13 of their matches Grey showed they were as good on attack as they were on defence.
It has been yet another fabulous season with some breathtaking school rugby on display. To all the coaches, fans and of course the players, congratulations on your season and all the memories made in 2019.
