Top School Rugby Rankings.
The 2020 School rugby season was dealt its worse blow in history when the COVID-19 virus arrived, extinguishing all hope of school rugby being played.
For the first time in many years the weekly rankings, which generate plenty of conjecture (and agreement) came to a stop as we mourned a rugby season that never was.
However, SA School Sport have looked at the rankings for the past decade (2001-2019) to see which teams have been the most consistent. Combining the Average Bonus Points accumulated over this period we have produced the Top 100 Teams of the Decade Rankings.

Various factors are used in the rankings equation including : Strength of opposition, margin of victory, margin of loss, actual points scored on the field, actual results (W/L/D) , home and away status and others which garners a team a prescribed amount of bonus points. These bonus points will vary from match to match as all these factors will be different from match to match. These bonus points are tallied and divided by matches played to render an average.
