After recording three successive wins Paul Roos Gym snatch the No.1 spot on the first U15 School Rugby Rankings of 2021.
Arguably the U15’s are the one group of rugby players who have been affected most because of COVID-19 with the majority only now getting their first taste of high school rugga. Many would have quickly learnt the pace at U15 level is faster and more punishing than anything they faced in primary school when they last played.
Although we are still in the exceedingly early stages of the U15 rugby season one look at the U15 School Rugby Rankings does show that many of the traditionally strong teams are near the top of the ladder, along with some surprises.
Paarl Gim is the one big name that will be hoping to get back to winning ways and we are almost guaranteed they will surge up the table as soon as they find their feet.
However, movement on the rankings table is bound to happen with more teams entering the rankings and more results being submitted.
The Rugby Rankings formula makes use of several factors in its equation including: Strength of Opposition, Margin of Victory, Margin of Loss, Actual Point scored, Home/Away Status and others.
