Overview Sporting Achievements:

For their final fixtures of the season, College’s soccer teams played Northwood in Durban. They won six of their games, drawing three and losing five. Sadly, it was not to be a final victory against the Knights for the 1st XI, who lost 2-3, bringing to an end what has been an outstanding season.
College’s 1st XI cricket side played a friendly warm-up match against DHS also in Durban, winning their match by 112 runs after some excellent individual batting and bowling performances.
Congratulations to two College boys, Lethokuhle Shangase and Riley Kleinhans, who together with staff member, Brandon de Lange (OC 2014), took part in the Rhino Peak Challenge (RPC) this weekend. A very challenging trail run of 21 km, summiting Rhino Peak (3056m), the event also aims to raise funds for the conservation of rhinos, endangered animals, and vultures along with other conservation projects. Lethokuhle Shangase was the 4th school boy home – an excellent result!

Soccer

Cricket

Congratulations to College’s 1st XI cricket team who took on DHS down in Durban. This was a warmup friendly 50-over match with both teams fielding 13 or 14 players to get the time in the middle.
College won the toss and opened the batting making 236 runs for 9, with Mason scored 62 and Gibson 50. Thanks to some excellent bowling from the College team, DHS were reduced to 125 all out; Thomson taking 2 for 7, Da Costa 2 for 14 and Dzanibe 2 for 12.
College won the match by 112 runs.
