Clifton 1st X1 lost 0-2 to Kearsney 1st X1
The game started with Clifton striker Rocco Rocha being a constant threat, putting pressure on Kearsney’s defence which stood up to the challenge and was able to contain these attacks.
Kearsney then got into the game and a number of attacks were mounted by Lethu Ngidi. He was unlucky to hit the upright after beating a number of Clifton players, which took the teams into half-time with the score 0-0.
The game was evenly matched until Clifton conceded a penalty which Ngidi slotted, leaving the Clifton keeper going the wrong way.
Towards the end of the game, Kearsney had a breakaway in which Chad Croshaw ensured the ball went neatly into the far corner, giving visitors Kearsney a 2-0 victory.
