The latest U16 boys’ school hockey rankings reveal that every goal and result counts when the gaps between teams are narrow.
DHS, who fought their way to the No.1 position, fell to a rampaging SACS team in the Hibbert Cup final. SACS has been scoring heavily all season and has moved up rapidly to the top 5 zone.
With margins of victory a critical component in the school hockey ranking’s formula, teams now have opportunities to move in both directions on the table, depending on the goals scored and matches won.
Don’t forget that the Paarl Gim Top School U16 Tournament moves into it final month for qualifying for this event. The top 12 earn and automatic invitation where they will get the opportunity to battle it out against the best in the land.
Coaches are reminded to submit their results to editor@saschoolsports.co.za to ensure their achievements are captured.
