As the 2023 school hockey season comes to an end, we proudly unveil the SA School Sports Girl’s Combined Hockey Rankings. In keeping with our tradition, we amalgamate the rankings of U14, U16, and First XI teams to provide a comprehensive view of each school’s hockey program.
What truly sets these rankings apart is their recognition of schools that excel across all age groups. They pay homage to institutions dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of hockey excellence from the grassroots up.
Leading the charge this year is Paarl Gim, showcasing their dominance across age groups and securing the title of the Top GIRL’S Hockey School of 2023. Their outstanding performance speaks volumes. However, these rankings also highlight an important facet – a successful hockey school goes beyond the First XI. Some schools may shine in the senior squad but falter in developing junior talent, influencing their overall ranking.
It’s vital to note that these rankings do not predict match outcomes. In the realm of school sports, anything can happen on any given day, adding to the excitement.
