New No.1 as WC Dominance shattered in School Cricket Rankings!

After many seasons of dominance by the South Suburbs teams in the Western Cape, the stronghold on the SA School Cricket Rankings has finally been challenged! At least for this week, that is. Waterkloof, after an outstanding season, have climbed to the No. 1 spot. Poised to clinch the Titans League for the fourth consecutive year, their ascent comes at just the right time, with only a few matches left.

However, the competition at the top is incredibly tight. A single win or loss can still shake up the rankings significantly. Affies remain within striking distance of the top, after two impressive victories over Grey College and St Andrew’s School. Meanwhile, Bishops, SACS, Rondebosch, and Wynberg faced stiff resistance from their lesser opponents, and their narrow wins have slowed their rise this week on the First XI School Cricket Rankings.

In KZN, DHS continues their golden run with a decisive win over Westville. Jason Rowles and Armaan Manack delivered brilliant centuries for St David’s, securing a solid victory over St John’s College. Elsewhere, Zieg Roos kept KES in the running with a standout 6/41 to edge out Noordheuwel in a nail-biter.
