SA Schools Cricket Team 2024

SA schools cricket team 2024

The selectors have made an exciting choice by appointing the experienced Beni Hansen as captain of the SA Schools Team for 2024!

This talented player from Wynberg, who also led the 2023 squad, is ready to guide a team filled with exceptional talent that has made waves throughout the season.

Joining him is Ross Coetzee from Kearsney, who shone brightly on the bowler-friendly pitches with an impressive average of 57.3 during the Khaya Majola Week, earning him the coveted Best Batter Award!

The selectors also took notice of Armaan Manack and Jason Rowles, both of whom have represented the SA U19 side, showcasing their skills and determination. And let’s not forget Nqobani Mokoena from Northwood, who has been turning heads as arguably the fastest bowler on display!

While this team is brimming with talent, there are some notable omissions, including Richard Seletswane from St Stithians and Ntando Soni from Glenwood, both of whom have previously played for the SA U19 team.

With a mix of seasoned players and rising stars, the 2024 SA Schools Team seems to show a good balance. Congratulations to all who competed and to those who were finally selected!
