Twenty-five schools will participate in this year’s annual Kearsney Hockey 5s tournament, powered by Belgotex Sport, which kicks off on Friday (16th).
In what has become a premier fixture on the South African schools’ hockey calendar, the three-day event (16-18 August) promises to be bigger and better than previous ones, with three divisions: boys high schools, girls high schools and a primary schools section.
There will be eight participating boys’ high schools this year: Clifton, Ashton, Hilton, Garsfontein, St Albans, Michaelhouse, Westville Boys and hosts Kearsney College.
The six girls’ high schools taking part are Curro, Maris Stella, Ashton, Thomas More, St Marys and Danville; with 12 primary school teams comprising Hillcrest Primary, Bonisanani, Highbury (two teams), Atholl Heights, Cowan House, Winston Park, Westville Senior Primary, Ashton, Kloof Senior Primary, Penzance and Treverton Prep.
Below are the fixtures for the Kearsney Hockey 5s tournament.
