The latest girls’ first team field hockey rankings are out and they are nothing short of exhilarating! The highly anticipated St. Mary’s Waverley festival did not disappoint, and we have seen some major changes in the rankings.
Eunice’s Rise to the Top:
The champions of the festival, Eunice, have climbed up the rankings, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with. However, despite the challenge, the wounded giant, Oranje Meisies, refuses to give up their top spot although their lead has shrunk considerably. The battle for the number one position has been intense and real, and we can’t wait to see what happens next!
The Importance of the Rankings
It’s important to note that these rankings are not just for show. They determine which teams qualify for two highly sought-after tournaments: the Oranje Meisies Super 12 tournament for positions 1-12, and the Rising Champions Cup hosted by La Rochelle for positions 13-25. These tournaments are not to be missed, and we can expect some fierce competition from the top-ranked teams.
