SA School Sports Boys’ First Team School Hockey Rankings – Saints & KES Festival Shakes Things Up!

This past week delivered another thrilling round of top-tier school hockey, with plenty of movement at the top of the Boys’ First Team school hockey Rankings. The spotlight falls firmly on St Stithians, who made full use of their home turf advantage at the Saints Festival, dishing out defeat after defeat to their visitors in a clinical display of form and flair.

Their outstanding performance sees St Stithians break into the top three this week—a reward well-earned after their dominant run. Keep an eye on them as the season heats up!

Meanwhile, Maritzburg College, one of the traditional giants of school hockey, showed flashes of their former glory with a solid series of wins. Their resurgence sees them return to the top 10 conversation—proving they’re still a force to be reckoned with.

As always, a massive thank you to the schools, players, coaches, and supporters who continue to make South African school hockey such a vibrant and competitive space. The standard of play continues to impress, and the passion for the sport is clearly growing stronger every season!
