ACADEMIC I SPORT I CULTURAL
Latin “Sedulus Praestantia” translates to “Excellence Belongs to the Zealous” – the Ashton motto that echoes through every platform of not only the Senior College, but all our phases. Ashton opened its doors on the Dolphin Coast in January 2010 and is an English Medium, Co-educational School with a Christian ethos and traditional values. The Ashton campus is home to the Ashlings Early Learning Centre (ages 2-3 years); Foundation Phase (Grade 1 – 3); Intersen Phase Grade 4 – 7 and then the Senior College from Grade 8 (Form 1) to Grade 12 (Form 5).
Ashton International College is an amalgamation of subject specialists, state-of-the-art facilities and an experienced and efficient administration. At Ashton we encourage all students to participate in the extra-curricular activities we offer on the Cultural, Academic and Sports forum, Community responsibility and specialised Clubs. The College Ethos and Philosophy is to be value-driven where emphasis and encouragement is placed on each individual and develop their unique talents as we strive to unlock the potential that lies within every student.
Ashlings (Age 2 – 6 Yrs) Gr 0000 – Gr R
When you walk through the doors of our brightly coloured, happy, Early Learning Centre, you will instantly feel the heart of the children, staff and school at large. Our programme is based on the foundation of fun in learning, with readiness skills that will prepare them for their formal schooling in later years. We believe in play-based, hands on learning that is focused on igniting children’s senses, most importantly their sense of wonder!
Foundation Phase (Age 6 – 9 Yrs) Gr 1 – Gr 3
Foundation Phase students are taught traditionally in all subjects keeping tried and tested methods we know work well, whilst also maintaining new, cutting edge approaches and being a ‘uniquely different’ school, catering for the academic, sporting or cultural student.
Intersen Phase (Age 9 – 13 Yrs) Gr 4 – Gr 7
The Intersen Phase is led by a team of incredible and talented teachers who give their hearts to educating and moulding our precious students into independent, creative and confident young members of society.
