With an automatic invitation to the Super 12 Tournament hosted by Oranje Meisies on the line, teams from around the country were ignited into action to send through their backdated results and organise matches in the hope of qualifying.

With many matches getting played this week by several teams across the country, this is how the Girl’s U16 Hockey Rankings stand for this week.

As we enter into the final straight for automatic qualification to the U16 Top Schools Tournament there has been frenetic activity from many teams playing matches and sending through outstanding results during the past week.

Oranje Meisies signed off this term’s matches with a 2-0 win over Affies and with that result lead this week’s Girl’s TurfTech Top 90 Hockey Rankings.

There is a minor change on this week’s U16 Girls Hockey Rankings with Durban Girls College sliding ever so slightly ahead of Menlopark to occupy the No.1 spot.

Realistically it is all very close at the head of the leaderboard with several teams worthy of leading the rankings.

We are looking at a fairly stable Girls TurfTech Top 90 Hockey Rankings for this week with not that much change to the top half of the table.

Herschel makes inroads on this week’s U16 Girls Top 60 Rankings after a good run of form last week.

Rhenish seized their moment in the sun with a stunning run of form at the All Girls Tournament last week and against some of the best in the country walked away with the title.

Collegiate are the only team amongst the front runners on this week’s U16 Girls Top 50 Rankings that manage to make up some ground and move up a place.

There is not much change on the leading group on this week’s Girls TurfTech Top 80 Rankings although Rhenish continues to impress and move up the table.
