Teal is passionate about surfing and her success in this area of her life has fuelled this passion. She has been selected to represent the KZN Surfing Team for five consecutive years and is working hard to be selected to the SA Surfing team. She has an opportunity to achieve this dream in September at the Jeffreys Bay’s famous wave machine. This is a vital step in attaining professional surfer status and a World Champion title.
Teal’s talent and determination was evident during Crawford College North Coasts’ competitive approach against the KZN Surfing Schools for the Championship title, which they won for a third consecutive year. She was a valuable member of the ‘A’ team and her flashing manoeuvres were vital to the success of the team and their ultimate victory.
