Soccer: Crawford North Coast Wins League

Crawford College North Coast Girls' Soccer team wins the Ladies League Championship Title.

q

Winning the Ladies Footy League, 5-a-side Action Soccer, was none other than the Baby Seals. The Baby Seals soccer team is made up of players from Crawford College North Coast. The team includes Savannah Reiche,  Chelsea Bartholomew (DLA), Talia Smale, Cami Rencken, Sydney Farrell, Celine Grant and Kelsey Rogers.

The Crawford girls’ team did exceptionally well this season. Facing the reigning champs in the semi- finals, the girls played a fantastic, nail-biting game.  With only 40 seconds left in the game and the Baby Seals leading 4-3, the reigning champs equalized to send the game into a penalty shootout. The Baby Seals held their composure with excellent kicking skills from Cami and Talia, and the team made it into their first Footy Final. The Baby Seals played their best game in the Final and fought hard against the Homies, with the Baby Seals taking the 2012 Footy Winter League Title.
