In a record breaking partnership between the Motsepe Foundation, SAFA and the Department of Basic Education, which amounts to over R117 million, school football has been given an unprecedented opportunity to develop in the country.
On 24 November 2015, the Motsepe Foundation announced a sponsorship amounting to R117,5 million over 10 years for the development of schoolsfootball, choral and traditional music and netball inpartnership with the Department of Basic Education.The Motsepe Foundation and the Department of Basic Education will today, 12 April 2016, be launching and activating their 10 year Sponsorship Agreement. This initiative is also supported by the Department of Sports and Recreation, as well as the Department of Arts and Culture.
