Rugby season started with a bang for many of the schools across the country and although there has been several friendlies played, this was the first opportunity to test their strength against old foes.

The School rugby season is just about in full swing already even though we are early in March, 2014 in what promises to be a very busy and competitive season.

The tidal wave of School Rugby has started and the first few ripples suggest a weekly wave of rugby that will once again capture the imagination and passion of players, coaches and spectators alike.

Rugby: Easter Festival Week Off to a Flyer!

It took all of 1000 days in the making but it was Paarl Gim who finally were able to beat the mighty Grey College team in what must go down as one of their biggest results!


The SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport has announced the sentencing of two teenagers who tested positive for banned anabolic steroids at Craven Ruby Week in June 2011. The Institute has also announced it intends starting a major clamp down on doping teenagers, with ‘out of competition’ testing in schools, where there is ‘justified suspicion’ from April 2012.
