Some of the teams will be on display for the final time in 2017 and there is still plenty of big matches planned for this weekend.

The Outeniqua machine kept things tight in their match against Framesby and although they were given a few scares, held on to the win and remain firmly entrenched at the top of the U15 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings.

Paul Roos Gym still command the top of the U16 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings for this week as we draw to the end of the 2017 season in what has been a very tightly contested few months.

It simply doesn’t get bigger in the world of school rugby than the annual derby between Paarl Boys High and Paarl Gim.

Some of the biggest matches in world school rugby are on show this weekend including the biggest of them all- Paarl Boys High vs Paarl Gim! 

Grey College have climbed up to snatch the top spot on this week’s U14 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings in what could work out to be a perfectly timed run of form.

At this very late stage of the season Affies scored a vital win over Maritzburg College to nudge past Paarl Gim into second spot on this week’s U15 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings.

Paarl Boys High came back from the break to continue where they had left off and notched up yet another victory against SACS who put up a huge defensive effort against the Number 1 ranked team in South Africa.

The surnames Kyle and Thompson have been regular occurrences in Maritzburg College first XV team sheets since the 1960s and one of the brotherhood, Ryan Kyle, is head coach of the school’s premier team this year.

The Coca-Cola Craven Week is where South Africa’s heroes are made. The premier youth rugby tournament, which sees the u18 provincial rugby teams battle it out in an action-packed week, has seen over 260 Springbok players come through its ranks.

For many of the U14 teams around the country their season has come to an end and with it their first taste of high school rugby. Although there are still a few schools that have a couple of fixtures still to play this is how the Belgotex Sports U14 Rankings are looking like for this week.

Glenwood tumble out of the top five on this week’s Belgotex Sports U15 Rankings after struggling to convert their chances in their match against an upbeat Maritzburg College team who engineered a great win over the Green Machine.

It was a massive effort by Boland Landbou as they locked horns with the indomitable Paarl Boys High to try and do what no other team has done yet in 2017- Beat Boishaai!

As we move into the final half of the 2017 season we are looking at a very stable table with Outeniqua still the leading team on this week’s Belgotex Sports U15 Top 100 Rankings.

Paarl Boys High are the big movers on this week’s Belgotex Sports U16 Top 100 Rankings after hammering Bishops last weekend in a one-sided display and they now find themselves in the top 10

Rugby: Cuddles not Team Huddles?

The team huddle photo has become the stuff of legend, whether you are witnessing a world cup final or your local u10’s, you will find team-mates shoulder to shoulder, white knuckles afraid to let go and a sweaty smoke rising from the discussion fire.

It has been a long season already for Paarl Boys High who begun their 2017 season with a successful tour to New Zealand, yet despite having to face the best on offer they remain unbeaten and on top of this week’s Belgotex Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings for yet another week.

Another massive week of rugby across the country!

It is Selborne College who make the most significant move up the table to move into the coveted Top 5 zone on this week’s U16 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings.

We have a virtually unchanged U15 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings for this week with the top five positions remaining the same mainly due to those top teams all recording victories over the past weekend.

After two weeks since the last publishing of the U14 Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings we still have the unconquered Outeniqua team out in front although the gap between them and the chasing pack has shrunk slightly.

Oakdale turned in their performance of the season when they took on the leading team in South Africa, Paarl Boys High, and came within a whisker of recording the biggest upset of 2017. However Boishaai clung on to a 36-31 victory to keep their unbeaten status intact and lead this week’s Belgotex Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings.
