Rondebosch and Glenwood both recorded good wins last week which keeps them still at the top of the SA School Sports Rankings for this week with Selborne College remaining in the top three.

The St.Stithians team have been in brilliant form right through the 2017 season and it comes as little surprise that they remain the No.1 ranked team on this week’s SA School Sports Rankings.

5 Top Reasons why Youths Drop out of Sport

We have all seen that young learner at school who displays tremendous talent and as we look on we can only imagine where will his talent take him in the sport. Many of course never fulfil the expectations that are sometimes prophesied about some player who shows promise and that is to be expected. What is sadder perhaps is that some, in fact a growing majority seem to drop out of sport for a variety of reasons.

St Stithians are the leading team in South Africa for the moment although a quick look at the latest First XI Belgotex Sports Rankings clearly reveals that the teams in the top section of the table are very close with a result either way capable of causing some impact.

Living up to their tag as the leading team in South Africa, Rondebosch put on a display of winning water polo at the Saints Invitational Tournament where they fought their way to the final match.

A massive 165 runs not out by SACS batsman Michael Levitt who shared a 200 runs partnership with James Rowden-Turner helped to clinch an emphatic win over Bishops and cement SACS at the top of the U14 Belgotex Sports Rankings for this week.

Wynberg took a couple of steps upwards on this week’s Belgotex Sports U15 Rankings after a convincing win over neighbours Rondebosch and are well placed in the top 10 zone.

Hilton College rise to the top of this week’s Belgotex Sports First XI Top 60 Rankings although they are joined there with St. Stithians who have led from the start of the year.
