As the U15 season draws to a close we are looking at a fairly tight bunching of teams in the top 10 of the Belgotex Top 35 with a few matches still to be played.

After an indifferent start to the season which saw them losing a few matches SACS hit their straps at the KES Tournament winning all their matches and taking home the title. This performance has greatly improved their standing on the SA School Water Polo Rankings for this week.

As the first half of the 2017 season draws to a close St.Stithians are virtually in an untouchable region way out at the top of this week’s Belgotex First XI Top 50 Rankings.

You don’t often hear much of Michael Mount Waldorf School in Bryanston Johannesburg but when it comes to basketball they are one of the powerhouses and lead this week’s SA Schools Top 30 Rankings.

The Old Petrian’s Tournament produced some spectacular water polo which saw Stirling getting the better of Crawford in the Cup Final match. However St. Stithians are leading the SA School Rankings for this week with just two losses so far this year.

A recent survey completed in America showed that 82% of parents (who had young children playing sport) believe that to achieve sporting success their children should specialize in one sport before the age of 13. Forty Five percent of these parents believed that one should specialize before the age of 9! What is driving this early specialization trend?

Wynberg enjoyed a brilliant run last week winning all three of their matches and in so doing take up residence in the No.2 spot on this week’s Belgotex First XI Top 50 Rankings.
