The qualification cut off for this year’s FNB Private Wealth Super 12 Hockey Tournament hosted by Meisieskool Oranje has finally come after a plethora of results have flooded in during the past few weeks.

Paul Roos Gym head this week’s Belgotex Sports U16 Top 100 Rankings for another week following a strong performance against Paarl Boys High who they managed to out wrestle in a tightly contested match.

St John’s College find themselves entering amongst the top three in what has become a dream season for the Johannesburg team who have notched up some highly impressive results along with big score-lines. Michaelhouse were their latest victim who they systematically dismantled in a powerful display. St. John’s has now stretched their unbeaten run to 12 matches and could well finish even higher as the season progresses.

Menlopark are another team that join the top five this week and save for their loss to Oakdale earlier this season have benefited from a fine run of form.

It’s tight at the top of this week’s Belgotex Sports Top 70 Rankings with the top six teams all recording wins last week which all makes for a very congested top end of the table.

This is how the Belgotex Top 70 Rankings are looking like at this stage of the season with Oranje Meisies firmly entrenched at the top of the ladder.

Time to vote for the BEST SCHOOL SPORTS PIC FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE!

There were a few memorable victories during the past week in what is fast becoming one of the tightest seasons amongst the leading teams on the Belgotex Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings.

There is nothing new to hear that a school has expelled one of its learners due to unsportsmanlike behaviour at a sporting fixture. However, with what might be a first for South Africa, a school has expelled two boys not because of their behaviour at a sports event but due to their fathers’ unruly behaviour.

Another massive week of rugby across the country!

Paarl Gim seem to have hit their straps as we get close to the halfway mark of the season and with some good wins in the past couple of weeks have started to put pressure on the top three on this week’s U14 Belgotex Sports Rankings.

Successful outings for Outeniqua, Paarl Gim, Bishops and Affies keeps this week’s Belgotex Sports U15 Top 100 Rankings fairly stable with not too much movement amongst the leading teams.
