Glenwood Boy Signs contract with Professional Baseball Team

A professional baseball career for a South African schoolboy regardless of the talent is a remote if not impossible dream.

However the dream is just about to become a reality for Glenwood’s Head Prefect Callan Pearce who has a great chance to become a player in the Major League in the United States.

Callan has excelled in several sports during his school career which saw him playing for the KZN U17 cricket team as well as playing hockey and being selected for the SA U19 softball team.

However baseball is his first love and it has been an exciting year for Head Prefect Callan Pearce who has just signed a professional baseball contract with the Minnesota Twins in July during the midterm break. Callan will start his career with the franchise in March next year where he will start off playing Rookie Ball with the aim to end up in the Major League.
