For the third year running, Stanford Lake College will host the “Spur Tour de Lake” – the second regional Spur Schools Mountain Bike League race of the season in Limpopo and another chance to qualify for the 2016 finals.

Potchefstroom Gimnasium showed their steel logging 199 points at the second North West race of the 2016 Spur Schools MTB League, which was hosted at Hartebeespoort High School.

A total of 664 high school mountain bike riders competed in the second Gatueng race of the Spur Schools MTB League.  The event was hosted at Bekker High School in Magaliesburg, which will also play host to the national finals in October.

Eight years into the Spur High Schools Mountain Bike League organisers are anticipating that more than 500 Southern African schools will be represented in the 2016 season, which will run from May to October.  To date more than 2000 riders representing 233 schools have participated this year.
