St Stithians College

St Stithians College offers a synergy model of boys’ and girls’ schooling on one campus. Our students experience a holistic and relevant education which is grounded in values that reflect our identity as a Methodist school. Our schools are the Junior Preparatory, the Boys’ Preparatory, the Girls’ Preparatory, the Boys’ College, the Girls’ College, Kamoka Bush School, and Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy. We strive to inspire excellence and make a world of difference in everything we do.

We are proud of our world-class sporting facilities that have hosted large festivals and great training sessions.

 

Sports we offer

In our Junior Prep we offer athletics, basketball, cricket, cross country, hockey, netball, rugby, soccer, and swimming.

In our Boys’ Prep we offer athletics, basketball, climbing, cricket, cross country,  hockey, rugby, soccer, squash, swimming, tennis, and water polo.

In our Girls’ Prep we offer adventure racing, athletics, diving, equestrian, gymnastics, hockey, netball, squash, swimming, and tennis.

In our Boys’ College we offer athletics, basketball, cricket, cross country, golf, hockey, rowing, rugby, soccer, squash, swimming, tennis, and water polo.

In our Girls’ College we offer cross country, diving, equestrian, hockey, mountain biking, netball, rowing, soccer, squash, swimming, tennis, and water polo.

St Stithians College is also listed as the number one cricket school in the country.

 

Notable sports people who have attended St Stithians College include:

  • Kagiso Rabada – South African national team cricketer
  • Grant Elliott – New Zealand national team cricketer
  • Micaela Bouter – South African diver who was selected for the 2015 FINA World Championships
  • Holly Norton – Great Britain team rower
  • Andrea Dalle-Ave – South African paralympian
  • Kevin Anderson – South African tennis player
  • Genene Burnett – Great Britain showjumper
  • Innocent Radebe – Currie Cup rugby player

Major sports events

Major sports events we offer include the Easter Sports Festival, which takes place over the Easter weekend each year, and the Water Polo Invitational Tournament, which takes place in the third term of each year.
