Daughter of Dr Theo and Mrs Antonette du Toit and sister to Michelle Du Toit, Celeste is most certainly an all–rounder, but her achievements on the Hockey field are particularly noteworthy at this point in her school career. She played in the U8, U9, U10, U13 and U14A teams and was promoted to the First XI at the age of 14 in her Grade 9 year. Along with this she has also represented the EP U13, U16 and U18A teams. On 3 May 2014 she made history at Kingswood as she played her 100th game for the Kingswood First XI Hockey team. This week her achievement was recognised by the management of the school with the handing over of an embroidered First Team shirt and a certificate.
The number of games she has played is an incredible achievement, the number of goals scored and saved is remarkable, but the way in which she has played the game is an example of grit and determination along with integrity and great sportsmanship, which is the most impressive of all.
We salute you, Celeste and a big thank you for all the Kingswood supporters for that you have contributed on and off the Hockey field.
