Unbeaten after 16 matches and Maritzburg College remain the leading team on the SA School Sports Rankings for this week after scraping through against a strong Kearsney College side during the past week.

St. Mary's Kloof hockey ace, Tegan Fourie has always enjoyed success on the astro but she is now set to take the game by storm.

The Northwood 1st hockey team put in their most polished performance of the season so far, when they dispatched Michaelhouse 4 – 0 on Saturday.

The Xerox Selborne College 1st XI delighted a good Friday night home crowd with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Grey College to record their 4th successive victory in this long-standing fixture. But it was by no means easy; there was never much separating the 2 well-matched sides and the match was always in the balance until the very end.

Here are the boys and girls school hockey results for the past week including all the Aitken Trophy results which saw Jeppe running out as eventual winners.

A couple of good wins by Grey College U16’s during the past week helped them to narrow the gap between the top three on the SA School Sports U16 Rankings for this week.

With many results flooding in there has been a fair bit of action on this week’s SA School Sports Hockey Rankings for Girls. However Oranje Meisies still reign supreme although there is very little in it amongst the leading teams.

Affies burst into the Top 10 of the SA School Sports Boys Hockey Rankings for this week after two successful matches and are the big movers on the table.

The Northwood 1st hockey team continued their winning momentum when they beat Hilton College 2 – 0 on Saturday, 9 May, 2015.

Boys and Girls Hockey results:

After receiving loads of requests for an U16 Hockey Rankings we are pleased to launch the first SA Schools Sports Boys U16 Rankings for 2015.

A stable top five this week in the SA School Sports Top 70 Rankings for Boys with Kearsney nudging past PBHS after their loss to Maritzburg College during the past weekend.

There is not much to choose between the leading teams at the moment with many teams still with a chance to go up the table if they finish the season strongly.

However at the moment it is Maritzburg College, who were given a scare by Pretoria Boy’s High last week, who remain at the top of the rankings although SACS are breathing down their necks in second place.

This is how the rankings are looking like this week. Please send through any outstanding results along with your enquiries to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The Boys and Girls School hockey results from the past week:

Some of the leading teams took the week off and so we have a pretty stable top 10 this week on the SA School Sports Hockey Rankings for Boys.

The Kingswood College and the highly competitive All Girls Festival hosted by Oranje Meisies dominated proceedings during the past long weekend on the hockey front.

Oranje Meisies retain the number one position on the SA Schools Hockey Rankings for another week after a comfortable win during the past week.
