If the weather plays the game there should be some interesting encounters this weekend on the cricket fields around the country:

Rondebosch are the team that hits the front after failing to lose a single match in their first 10 outings and take a firm grip on the No.1 spot at the start of the season.

And so another school cricket season has begun with many of the top teams having already tasted a bit of action in the first weeks of 2019.

Teenager Jordan Rothman from Curro Durbanville, won an exciting play-off in the Bridge Fund Managers Junior Series tournament at Durbanville Golf Club on Friday 4 January 2019.

Coinciding with the 150th anniversary celebrations, Paarl Boys’ High School in the Western Cape has installed an impressive Rhino-Turf hockey pitch by Turftech that will be used for both high-level hockey games as well as being used a playground surface for the younger boys.

Youth Olympic 100m champion Luke Davids of Parow High School  in Cape Town is the latest sprinting sensation to join PUMA South Africa’s expanding family of elite track athletes.

The St Andrew’s College 1st XI Cricket team started their year off with declaration fixtures versus HoërskoolMenlopark, St Andrew’s School (Bloemfontein) and St Alban’s College in the Grahamstown Schools’ Cricket Festival hosted by Kingswood College.
