Cricket: Fixtures & Results for Weekending 8th February, 2014

The fixtures for this week produced some interesting results with more that one surprise result as the teams took advantage of some good weather conditions.

Brian Ferguson Cricket FixturesThe U19 World Cup could well have had a bearing on some of the matches  played as a few teams were missing their star players. Dayyaan Galiem from Rondebosch, who would have played a key role in the U19 WC has been injured with a knee injury and Bosch would have given plenty to have his services on hand in their match against Wynberg which ended in defeat.

Glenwood are also without their captain Andile Phehlukwayo who is on World Cup duty so it was a big test for them against Kearsney College. The absence of Phehlukway was certainly felt in the T20 match against Westville and it was a similar story when they face Kearsney who claimed a hard fought for victory.
