Pretoria Boys High put together one of their best performances of the year when they took on high flying KES and managed to clinch a 5 wicket victory which sees them leap into the top five on this week’s Belgotex Sports U14 Rankings.

St Andrews School continue to reign supreme on the Belgotex Sports U15 Rankings for this week after completing a strong win over Clifton thanks for a sparkling century by Bruwer.

The Affies machine continued their form with a strong showing against Grey College who put on a brave fight but finally went down by three wickets. The win consolidates Affies position as the leading team in SA at present.

There has been plenty of cricket played across the country with some big scores being achieved which suggests the batters had the edge this weekend.

KES remain at the top of the U14 Cricket Rankings for this week although it is getting very tight at the top of the rankings with several teams all in with a shout to finish the year on top of the table.

St Andrews School in Bloemfontein are looking very strong at this stage of the season as they reach the top of the table in this week’s Belgotex Sport U15 Rankings.

Affies remain the leading team on the SA School Belgotex First XI Rankings after completing a 7 wicket win over neighbours Pretoria Boys High.

There has been plenty of cricket played across the country with some big scores being achieved which suggests the batters had the edge this weekend.

KES are still way out in front in what is fast turning out to be one of the best seasons by an U14 team for many years. Still unbeaten KES brushed aside all comers at the Charl van Rooyen Week to still lead the U14 Cricket Rankings for this week.

Following a very successful Oppenheimer Cricket Week by Affies and St.Stithians and a dominant time enjoyed by SACS at the Cape School Week, those three teams lead this week’s SA Schools 1st Team Rankings.

KES who have yet to embark on the second half of their season still head the Greenfields U15 Rankings for this week although there is plenty of cricket still to be played as more teams take the field.

There has been plenty of cricket played across the country will a lot more to come as we head into the Oppenheimer , Cape Schools and other festivals around SA.

St Stithians College alumnus Kagiso Rabada and current pupil Wiaan Mulder made history at the CSA awards banquet by winning a record nine awards combined.

SACS rest comfortably at the top of the U14 Cricket Rankings at the completion of the first half of the 2016 with an unbeaten run of six matches.

After a very busy 2015/16 season the dust has finally settled on what has been another terrific season of schoolboy cricket. With zero defeats out of some 33 matches few would argue that St.Stithians are the deserved champions of the sport and finish at the top of the Powerade Rankings for the Season!

It is always of interest to see how the various U14 teams’ line up each year as it can give a strong indication of how a school’s cricketing fortunes will be for the next few years. Although there have not been many matches played in this division we have PBHS ranked at the top of the U14 Rankings for this week.

There is very little change on the U15 Powerade Rankings for this week with a the same top ten teams who have set the pace for 2016 still leading the way.

The annual Coca-Cola Schools T20 Challenge reaches its climax this month when six of the best school cricket teams in the country don the colours of their local franchise at the national finals, taking place at North West University from 18-21 March 2016.

As the 2015/16 Cricket Season for the First XI’s draws to an end we are looking at a fairly stable Powerade Top 60 Rankings for this week with little change to the top half of the table.

The cricket season starts to wind down although there were still several key matches played during the past week.

KES enjoyed another successful campaign last week against Affies to galvanise their spot at the top of U15 Powerade Rankings for this week.

Cricket: Kearsney Clinch T20 Final

Match Report: Hilton vs Kearsney in T20 Final- Hilton College won the toss and put Kearsney in to bat on a good batting surface prepared for the T20 Final held at the Maritzburg Oval last night (Monday). Kearsney came out firing, but lost regular wickets with their gung-ho approach, losing the first wicket on the fourth ball of the innings.

It is a relatively undisturbed top 10 in this week’s Powerade Top 60 Rankings although for the first time in the season Affies break into the ten elite teams with a strong finish to their season.

This Week’s Cricket Results from around the country:

Waterkloof make steady inroads up the U15 Rankings this week however the unexpected loss to Menlopark would have hurt as they set their sights on finishing even higher up the table.
